Owner, Chaleak Grier-Thomas, began teaching dance lessons in several Daytona Beach Community Centers in June, 2014, just a few months after graduating from Bethune-Cookman University with her BS Degree in Business Administration. For nearly two years, dozens of young girls and boys attended her dance program throughout Daytona Beach.
As the program began to grow, a need for one central location became pertinent to the development of the program and its students. The program now serves the cities of Daytona Beach, Holly Hill, Ormond and South Daytona. Students as young as 2 years of age enjoy classes in ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop and african. The Jewels performance team excites audiences with its productions on a monthly basis. As a studio, the students of Royal Pointe participate in several community festivals and parades. We also have a satellite location at Campbell Middle School where students learn basic ballet and jazz techniques.
Royal Pointe seeks to train and nurture our student's love for dance in a safe and fun environment. The dream is to develop this program into a multi-cultural dance powerhouse of young artists and provide them with all the necessary tools to one day become professional dancers, if they so choose.
